The Thunder Sports Series has welcomed the latest enthusiast to its ranks: Simon Hill, who will contest the opening round of the 2021 series at Winton in his VN Group A SS Commodore.
The majority of Hill’s experience has been in speedway, having competed in the Victorian Sports Sedan class for around a decade. More recently, he has competed in track/sprint days, including Winton’s popular Test and Tune days, along with sprint events at Sandown and Challenge Bathurst.
Watch the in-car footage of Hill’s lap of Bathurst below:
Hill is the epitome of the Thunder Sports competitor – a motorsport enthusiast who loves to work on his own car, socialise with like-minded competitors and improve his personal-best lap times every time he hits the track.
Hill also joins the ever-growing contingent of Thunder Sports drivers from the Albury-Wodonga region, which also includes 2019 champ Mark Tracey, Cory Gillett and Peter Ryder.
